FAQ
Do I need a permit to pull
floatable debris out of the stream?
Often during a heavy runoff event, trees and other floatable debris
becomes lodged in critical areas of streams.
This material can be removed without permits provided that the work can
be done without entering the flowing water with equipment. The use of cables and chains or backhoe arms
to reach into the area and remove the debris is allowed. This material should be removed from the
stream channel with minimal impact to the stream and disposed of out of the floodplain.
